Three super basement
Nothing drab about this basement! All three all day light basement that divide their space into separate activity areas. The basement at the top of the facing page uses low dividers and different floor levels to distinguish the lounge and the entertainment area shown from the bars, game room and exercise area. On the lower half of the facing page, sliding barn doors divide the lounge and entertainment room from the kid’s playroom. On this page, a freestanding storage unit separates a game area from the TV and the storage room.
Ceiling treatment in all three basements set them a part from the ordinary and completely camouflages any basement look. On the upper half of the facing page, soffits frame the room and creates arches for recessed spotlight above the wall beams match the barn doors; spotlight recessed in the white ceiling lights in the basement on this page are just bare bulbs –but plywood cutout stars mounted a frame surrounding a super graphic stars give the ceiling a snazzy look, matching the décor.
Floor treatment is special too. Textured carpeting and parquet flooring define the bar and lounge areas in the basement at the top of facing page. Woven jute type carpeting makes an attractive and sturdy floor covering for the other basement on that page.

A big star on a ceiling and the small cutout stars that hold the light bulbs are just the beginning of the playful décor of this basement. There’s a large circle painted on the 6 foot tall free standing storage unit that divides the room in half and an arched cutout frames a blackboard.
