Come on over and lets play 2Old fashioned games of chance and 20th century electronic both have a place in today recreation rooms. But that place requires careful planning –after all pool tables can weigh up a ton and video tape equipment is large.

For pool you must allow 4-5 feet of cuing room around the table. A pendant light or down-lights are excellent choices to light the table. You’ll probably want to install a cue rack and score keeping device. Seating for spectators is another consideration.

For video tape machine, you’ll need sufficient space for the oversized screen, and a place to position the projector and cassette.

For any type of recreations room, casual, comfortable furnishings and light hearted décor help to create a playful atmosphere.

Play your favorite music

Silver colored, laminated plastic sheet with holes cut in it frames recessed stereo, tape systems. Cords, plugs, inner workings are hidden but accessible trough storeroom in back of cedar paneled wall. Owner can enlarge holes in plastic to accommodate larger equipment or use plastic strips to fill in around smaller replacement pieces.

Cue up for pool

Or enjoy refreshment at the counter. This game room is a busy open place for easy going entertaining or everyday family run. Skylight recessed light and stained glass pendant illuminate the game area. Sunny yellow color used throughout lends more good cheer.

Replay a TV show

Two teenagers and their friends love to replay sports events on the big screen. And the whole family enjoys the movie theater atmosphere of the video room. Traffic flows easily from here to the game room visible to the left.

Fitness –a family fair

Part of a new addition, the home gymnasium doubles as a party room when balance beam and multipurpose exerciser are pushed to one side. Ceiling trusses and food-light lend a professional atmosphere.
